Most people are trying to get rid of such things because, in most cases, the maintenance fees exceed what can easily be fetched for a rental. As well, renting out your unit can be costly and a headache. just look at all the complaints and criticisms on these boards about the outrageous fees RedWeek is charging for owners using RedWeek for rentals.

And as for adding your children to ownership, I strongly suggest that you ask them if they want to be part of it. A better option would be, if they do want it, to stipulate that in your will rather than making them co-owners.
