When did the success fee go up from $99 to 5% of the rental amount

This is ridiculous, a pure money grab. Maybe you shouldn't charge a listing fee upfront, if you are going to charge 5% of $4,600 for an upscale resort (which is $230 success fee).

I am very unhappy at paying listing fees and now this. When did this change?

You did not answer "WHEN" this significant pricing change occurred. When was it imposed? Was it announced or just "slipped in"? I was not aware of the change and could not find anything that referenced a "success fee" other than the replacement of $99.00 to 5% of the rental fee during the listing process. I don't believe it had been changed when I posted. Owners need to be advised as the cost you charge to handle properties as it impacts the rental price set on the property!

I posted my listing and it showed a service fee of about $150 when it gets rented. After I Post it the price went up another $350 for more service fee. This is a highway robbery.

I have read Redweek's answer to the "success fee" now being 5% and why in an above post. I am seeking to better understand exactly what Redweek's marketing strategy does to promote a $1,500/night rental vs a $750/night rental. It is my understanding, that prospective renters look on the Redweek site to select which rental they believe meets their needs. What does Redweek do in addition to having the rental information on their website that support the now 5% success fee. I look forward to your answer. Thank you.

I was not notified of this change, and I consider it a bait and switch.

Nothing has changed in how my listing is marketed — yet tenants are now being charged an additional $600 while I continue to pay the same $99 listing fee. The pricing is also misleading to prospective renters: both of my Christmas weeks are listed at $6,500/week ($929/night), yet the final price shown to tenants is $7,100 — because RedWeek has added a $600 surcharge that raises the effective nightly rate to $1,014. My listing still displays $929/night, which is what I set. Tenants see something different at checkout.

This fee structure was not part of my original listing agreement. I believe RedWeek has violated its own terms, and I will be having my attorney send a formal letter accordingly.
