Marriott's Aruba Surf Club Reviews & Ratings

Our group of 7 just returned from a glorious week at the Light House Building at the Surf Club in our second owned ocean side villa. We were on the 12th floor in units 2624 & 2622 facing the kite surfers. What a magnificent view! This building is steps from the beach, pools, Hadicurri Restaurant & Moombas! Great location on the site.

I do have to say that they staff is amazing. I do have to do a shout out to Helen. She was unbelievable. Our main in counter was on the beach she serves us at the Huts. I look for her every time and when I didn't see her smiling face I was a little disappointed but new she was either working hard at another station. SHE ALWAYS MAKES my stay enjoyable and I look for her every Year..

We purchased pre construction. Not knowing what to expect, we couldn't be happier! The place is awesome! We try to get there every year. The pool and water slide is a blast. The lazy river is wonderful and the swim up bar is even better! We play volleyball in the pool or on the beach. There is something for everyone! We do go to the food store just to save on some meals but the restaurants are excellent!! The people are so friendly and helpful.The weather is always beautiful! What more could you ask for! This is a great place to vacation with family and friends. The staff always is polite, friendly and helpful. We have been coming to this since it opened, we have met many other vacationers who also keep coming back. The weather is always perfect and the local restaurants are excellent. Once you get there all of your tensions are relived and you enjoy your peice of paradise, so enjoy😎

ARUBA IS JUST THE BEST PLACE TO GO. I LOVE IT AND CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK.

This is an outstanding resort. Marriott is continually improving the facilities. Our family has been here 6 times and everyone loves this resort! Kids and grandkids all have loads not activities and all rave about these vacations. Read everyone's reviews and enjoy.

My family and I have stayed in a 2 bedroom suite at the Surf Club for the past 6 years. The room and common areas are always very well-kept and the location is great. It's a quick taxi ride from the airport, and you're within walking distance to an outdoor mall and restaurants. Our favorite restaurant is Azurro which is beachside at the Playa Linda, just a short walk down the beach. Also, the Jolly Pirate dock is right next to the Marriott beach, and the sunset cruise is one of our favorite activities. All sorts of activities are available near the beach: parasailing, tubing, jet skis, paddle-boarding, kayaking... We have stayed at other hotels along the same beach, but the things that stand out about the Marriott are the lazy river pool, swim-up bar, and the washer and dryer in the room. Many other hotels in the area have inferior pools in our opinion.

Our favorite timeshare spot in all of the world! Has everything... rooms are beautiful, white sand beach with tons of activities, multiple pools.... one being the lazy river and also a swim up bar... you can walk to everything, the nicest staff you'll find anywhere! The restaurants in Aruba are plenty and the best in the Caribbean. We go for a month at a time. Love the Marriott Surf Club!

We have been enjoying Aruba Surf Club accomodations for 9 years and still loven it! Consistent quality rooms and service associated with Marriott you can't go wrong.

The one bedroom villa is nice expecially if you wish to cook your own meals in house. And for two to four guests. Whereas the guest room is great for those who wish to eat at local restaurants but also has a pull out couch.

Both are well decorated and have all the amenities we look for: gym and spa, market, two pools (one adult only pool) and lazy river. Puopa's on the beach for protection and first class restaurans and shops.

We returned to the Surf Club in Feb 2015 (school vacation week). I found it to be much more crowded. This trip had to get up by 5 am to save chairs together (6 of us). They just need a better system .. that is too early. I do love the resort (even though the beach is not my favorite). I love the lazy river and the units are really nice. I also love walking the beach boardwalk and there is so much to do right there on Palm Beach. The only issue I really have is having to get up so early .. I don't think Marriott has enough chairs for the number of people in the units. We are returning this January (not school vacation week), so I'm really hoping it will be better and no one will have to rise at 5 am! I'll let you know.

Just got back from spending Presidents week 2014 at the Marriot. Loved it! The lazy river was the best and the beach was beautiful. The location was also great, you can walk to all the town shops. We lucked out due to bad weather in the states so the Surf club was not as crowded as it normally is. Had no problem getting chairs at the beach or pool side. Would love to go back.

The Aruba Surf Club doesn't disappoint! A premier Marriott property, our early April week was just superb. From the pleasant check in greeters and bell captains, to the bar tenders, maids and beach hosts, our experience was memories in the making. Just wonderful and the club goes out of its way to accommodate in every fashion. The open, clean beach and water is spectacular as well. We'll definitely be going back!

Check in is horrible. This is do to only having 2 or 3 at most front desk staff at any given time. This was evident even walking thru the lobby during the morning and evening. The complex is in great shape though! Captain's Galley restaurant had two different buffet nights that had fantastic food and so reasonably priced! It is a definite must try!!!! Never had a bit of trouble getting a chair at the pool. Down side:( in the general parking the foul odor of sewage smell is enough to make you gag!!!!

Second year there and it was great. Not as crowded this year as last so it was easy to reserve a chair or hut. Most people came down around 7 - 8AM. Pools, food, and weather were perfect.
